Camp Clearwaters on Upper Saranac Lake is a Classic Saranac Inn House built in the 1920's, once part of a spectacular resort which catered to visitors who came by train to Lake Clear Station to "holiday" before roads were decent and escape the hot summers in cities. The Saranac Inn eventually closed and an auctioneer sold off the entire property. The family who hired Martha Day Realty bought the house at that auction and used it for 50 years until deciding to consider selling. Our team at Martha Day Realty led by Peter Day, developed a marketing plan involving high quality photos, videos, and promotion at a high level. Interestingly a buyer immerged from these efforts whose family 80 years prior had owned one of the larger properties on Upper Saranac Lake which even had its own 9 hole golf course and as was explained to me, predated income taxes.
