Cedar Plank Chicken Wings on Weber Kettle | Ghost Pepper Chicken Wings
Today we are making Cedar-Planked Chicken Wings on the Weber Smokey Joe Kettle and finishing them with a Strawberry-Ghost Pepper sauce. Today we are in Welaka, Florida camping out and it is a perfect ay for wings. In this recipe, you get spice from the ghost pepper along with sweet from the strawberries and smoke from the cedar plan. Marinade Ingredients 1/3 cup olive oil 1.5 - 2 tbsp of dried Chipotle pepper seasoning Strawberry Ghost Pepper Sauce Ingredients 8 oz strawberries 1 ghost pepper 8 oz Kettlewood Smoke Chocolate BBQ Sauce, more info here: https://www.armadillopepper.com/produ.... You can substitute your favorite BBQ sauce 1/3 cup honey 1 stick butter 2 - 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar Recipe Procedure 1. Mix wings and marinade ingredents together in a plastic bag, then refrigerate for 2 hours. 2. Heat Weber Smokey Joe to 350 - 400 degrees F. 3. Soak cedar plank for 1 hour then place on hot grill for 10 minutes, turn over plank for another 10 minutes. 3. Remove wings from marinade and place on cedar plank. Discard marinade. 4. Blend strawberries and ghost pepper to a smooth consistency, then pour in a pan over medium heat. 5. Add the rest of the sauce ingredients to the pan and simmer for 30 minutes. 6. Cook wings for approximately 40 minutes, then turn over on the cedar plank and cook another 40 minutes. 7. Drizzle the wings with the sauce and serve.
