How the Switch 2 CHANGED Zelda TotK Speedrunning

Patreon:   / 247mrniceguy   TikTok:   / 247mrniceguy   Tears of the Kingdom speedruns are insane. The Nintendo Switch 2 is here! And with it, comes the Switch 2 edition of Tears of the Kingdom. This version of the game makes you play on the most recent update 1.4.2 which got me thinking, what are the speedruns like? You see, typically speedrunners play on version 1.0.0 of the game because it is the most broken with the most glitches to help save time. BUT, the Switch 2 version of the game runs smoother at 60fps and has faster loading times. So while some glitches would be patched, is it possible for the Switch 2 edition to be faster? Today I decided to find out by watching both the Switch 1 and 2 world record speedruns by MoldyMeatballs and Echecetdame. This is my first time seeing this so you'll get to see my first thoughts and reactions. From doing tons of glitches, infinite jumps, skipping the big hyrule chasm, and clipping under the map, these are some of the best moments. Hope you enjoy!
