My Soundproofing Journey - Soundproofing a Master Bedroom Shared Wall in a Duplex (Side B): Part 2

This is Part 2 for Side B in a series of videos in which I document, from start to finish, a soundproofing project for a shared wall in a duplex. I have separated the videos into Side A and Side B, as I made modifications to both sides of the wall, but you will be able to see the effect of just the Side A modifications. Side B obviously begins with the completed Side A as a baseline. The primary difference between the two sides is that I removed the existing wall on Side A, reinsulated, and installed a floating wall, whereas for side B I left the original wall in place and added another layer of drywall with Green Glue. This is a VERY detailed look at the entire process, so not for the ADD crowd. I created this series because in doing my research, I found very little DETAIL about soundproofing, and very few ACTUAL RESULTS. Here I will attempt to provide both, so that someone who is serious about learning how to soundproof a wall can see what might be required, and what real-world results could be gained through various techniques. In this video, I install the drywall with Green Glue as a sound reduction layer between the original drywall and the second layer.
