Lincoln: A Biography and the recently published, Lincoln in Private: What His Most Personal Reflections Tell Us About Our Greatest President by litigation attorney Talmage Boston, author of Cross-Examining History: A Lawyer Gets Answers From the Experts About Our Presidents. Ronald C. White is the author of two New York Times bestselling presidential biographies. American Ulysses: A Life of Ulysses S. Grant won the 2017 William Henry Seward Award for “Excellence in Civil War Biography.” He is also the author of A. Lincoln: A Biography. His new book, Lincoln in Private: What His Most Personal Reflections Tell Us About Our Greatest President, was published in May, 2021. Dr. White is a graduate of UCLA, Princeton Theological Seminary, receiving a Ph.D. in Religion and History from Princeton University. He is a Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum in Washington, D.C. Talmage Boston is a historian and lawyer who lives in Dallas, Texas. He’s the author of four critically acclaimed books—two on baseball history, one on legal history, and one on presidential history. He’s been featured on C-SPAN eight times and is a nationally renowned onstage interviewer who has done programs with Laura Bush, James A. Baker, III, Henry Kissinger, David McCullough, Ken Burns, Jon Meacham, Douglas Brinkley, John Grisham, and Michael Lewis—to name a few. He spoke at the Lincoln Library in Springfield in 2017 on the subject “Baseball: The Nature, the Personality, and the Power of the Game” in connection with the exhibit on the history of the series between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals.
