The Second Reality Project Reloaded RetroAchievements

One of the most mixed hacks I played. Some levels were absolute bangers and others were utter dogshit. One of the most annoying parts is how frequent scrolling levels are. I didn't count, but it feels like 2/3 of the levels feature a scrolling section. For the most part this game is rather casual, but chaos complex and the final bowser level are just ridiculously long and difficult. There are also a couple other levels or section that just spike WAY too high, like the blue yoshi flying thing or the braindamaged final. Speaking of that level - you have to do the castle in world 3 to enter and braindamaged final every time you want to leave that world. Really annoying if you missed anything in that world. The set had some decent challenges, but was for the most part a pretty big pain. Most achievements were just "do this already very difficult boss fight damageless". Pretty uncreative and adds nothing but frustration. Every single castle has to be done without midway and without getting hit. You even have to do the final bowser level without checkpoint, but hey at least not damageless. Still absolutely ridiculous if you considering that level was already the by far hardest in the game with the midway. I practiced for multiple hours, but luckily got it rather quick. Still was probably the most nervous I got in smw so far. You also have to get all yoshi coins in every level, which is pretty standard for smw hacks, but what makes this so much worse is that every world has to be done in one session. So for one you can only take a break after finishing a world, which often takes really long and you also can't practice anything, which is the way bigger problem, since as I said some sections spike unreasonable high. The worst part is that the midways always save, but the yoshi coins don't. In a couple levels you can't avoid taking the checkpoint, so if you die afterwards, you first have to finish the level before you can attempt yoshi coins again. If it wouldn't force one session you could just reset and try again from the start right away, but that's not an option like this. Also cutting this down from nearly 40h to under 12h to fit it in a single video was a massive pain.
