Engine oil and filter changes for ZAZ, Tavria, Slavuta, and Sens are performed at 10,000 to 15,000 kilometers, or once a year, whichever comes first. This engine type requires mineral, semi-synthetic, or synthetic 10W40 motor oil. I use XADO Atomic Oil 10W-40 SL/CI-4 semi-synthetic oil. The engine oil change procedure is as follows: Place the vehicle on a level surface or lift. First, add flush solution to the old oil and let the engine run for 5-10 minutes. I use a common medication called #Dimexide. Flushing removes carbon deposits and deposits. If you simply drain the oil without flushing, all the deposits will settle on the engine walls, and the new oil will quickly become unusable. - Next, you need to remove the old oil filter and unscrew the drain plug from the crankcase. A special tool may be needed to remove the oil filter. Wait about ten minutes for all the oil to drain from the crankcase, then tighten the drain plug. Next, install the new oil filter, first lubricating the rubber gasket with fresh engine oil. Tighten the oil pan drain plug, ensuring the copper gasket is present and intact. Fill with new oil through the filler hole, monitoring the oil level with the dipstick. Start the engine, let it run for a few minutes, and then check the oil level in the crankcase again with the dipstick. It should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. Next, replace the engine air filter element. To do this: Remove the screw securing the air intake pipe of the filter cover to the radiator frame. - Unfasten the four latches on the air filter housing. Inspect the filter element. Blow it out with compressed air or replace it with a new one. Remove dust and dirt from the air filter housing. Install the filter element and air filter housing cover in the reverse order of removal.
