Women Farmers and Farmers' Markets: Building Inclusive Local Food Systems | WorldFMC Academy Studio - July 2026 As part of the celebrations for the International Year of Women Farmers 2026, the World Farmers Markets Coalition hosted this Academy Studio to explore the vital relationship between women farmers and Farmers Markets in building more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable local food systems. The session brought together representatives from FAO, international institutions, and the WorldFMC community to discuss the contribution of women to agriculture, the impact of Farmers Markets on women's livelihoods and food security, and inspiring experiences from around the world.
