Mark Whitacre - Against all Odds

Mark Whitacre is an American corporate executive and the highest-ranking employee in U.S. history to become an FBI whistleblower, exposing the multi-billion-dollar Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) price-fixing conspiracy. The Whistleblower Case and ADM - Whitacre served as a secret FBI informant wearing a wire for three years (1992–1995) to expose an international lysine price-fixing ring. He faced intense psychological pressure during the undercover operation, leading to personal legal missteps and an eventual federal prison sentence of over eight years. His story Inspired the 2009 dark comedy film "The Informant!" starring Matt Damon, as well as several documentaries.
