GANADERÍA DE FERNANDO MANSILLA, EN TIERRAS DE TARRAGONA

The Fernando Mansilla fighting bull ranch is located on a beautiful 25-hectare estate called "La Carbonera" in the municipality of Ulldecona (Tarragona). It is run by its owner, Fernando Mansilla, and his nephew, Cristian Barreda Mansilla. Founded in 1985, it comprises more than 300 animals and primarily serves the towns of northern Castellón and the Ebro Delta in Catalonia, although it also occasionally participates in bullfights in the provinces of Teruel, Valencia, and Alicante. It is possibly one of the most active Bous al Carrer-Correbous ranches in Catalonia. The bloodlines of the animals, after several infusions of cows and bulls, come from the Machancoses, Rogelio Martín, and Benavent ranches, and more recently, some bulls from Jandilla. We spoke with Mr. Cristian Barreda about the farm and the current state of local festivals, the main destination for the animals raised on this livestock operation. Report by March 6, 2019.
