The Ultimate Travel Guide!!! The Most Difficult Hike of my Life! Mirador Las Torres😍

I had no business doing this hike. Since losing my sweet rokks 3 months ago, I just lay around not doing anything. My son kept reminding me not to try. The hike to the base of the towers is an 8 to 10 average hike. While traveling g thru patagonia, the best I could do is 6 hours, and it almost killed me. So, of course, I had no intention of doing this hike. But speaking g with so many people. And some older than me raving that it was the most amazing hike of their life, of course I had to try. AFTER ALL, IT IS THE MOST ICONIC HIKE OF TORRES DEL PAINE!!! So, the following morning, starting right after an early breakfast, I started out. I really didn't think I would complete it, but I thought I would just go as far as I could and then turn around. At the beginning of the hike, I caught up with the sweetest 83 year old, who had no doubts he would make it. He told me I could make it, just slow and sure. So on I would go. I would slow down, thinking I should go back, and guess who would catch up with me. The man again would show his faith in me, slow and sure he would say. Well, if an 83 year old could do it, of course I could so I would continue on. Well, I did make it after 5 hours and believe me, the view was amazing! All the people who i had freinded who had passed me started to chant Utah Utah. I was quite proud of myself, but all I could think of is how am I going to make it back? I had cramps in my foot, and my legs were shaking, especially after that last hour of climbing over those large bolders. Rested for an hour and then headed down, thinking the whole time I would never make it. I did , which I was very proud of, but was not the type of hike for a woman of my age, in my shape and alone should have braved. But again, I did, and I am so proud that I did it.
