Well, you've probably heard of the word "work," right? We use this word in our daily lives, including when we go to work, that is, when we perform a paid job. However, in physics, that's not exactly what the word refers to. In physics, work means transferring energy from one body to another through a force, causing a displacement. In this class, Professor Seco will talk about work, but focusing on the work performed by gaseous substances: the work of a gas. Before we even begin talking about the work of a gas, let's briefly review how the concept of work is used and defined in physics. Work in physics is when we apply a force to any object, like the one the friendly lady in the image below applies to the shopping cart, and this force causes the object to move. In other words, the shopping cart moves to the right, and thus work is performed. Now, when we apply a force to a body and this force doesn't cause the object to move, this means I'm not performing work. But, returning to our topic of ideal gases, let's examine the concept and definition of work in this case, when we're talking about gases. A gas, or rather, the gaseous state, doesn't have a defined shape; therefore, it assumes the shape and occupies the volume of the container where it is trapped. It is from this question that we will analyze how work occurs on a gas. Questions? Leave them in the comments. ;) 🔴 WATCH ALSO Gaseous Transformations • TRANSFORMAÇÕES GASOSAS: variáveis do estad... ❤️ SOCIAL MEDIA INSTA @cursoenemgratuito TWITTER @enemgratuito FACEBOOK /cursoenemgratuito/ /// AFTER ALL, WHAT IS THE FREE ENEM COURSE?
