It can be grown as a groundcover or used as a lawn replacement; You can trim it into a ball or create a low border; grow it as a wide, spreading shrub; or decorate vertical surfaces. Euonymus fortunei will beautifully climb rocks in a rock garden or cascade down a retaining wall. A huge advantage of Euonymus fortunei is the availability of highly decorative variegated forms. Furthermore, the plant is evergreen, meaning it will decorate the garden even in winter. Euonymus fortunei is an absolutely low-maintenance shrub that is ideal for a low-maintenance garden. It is frost-hardy, drought-resistant, grows in any soil, requires no fertilizing, and has never been damaged by diseases or pests in my garden. I will share my experience growing Euonymus fortunei: year-round care, pruning, and propagation. I will show six varieties growing in my garden, at different ages and during different periods of the year.
