Trippovision #36 Tomahawk & Melvins @ Emo's Austin TX July 20th 2026

This was my first time seeing both a Mike Patton project and the Melvins live, both of which I've wanted to do since I heard the almighty tones of the album known as the Millenium Monsterwork in long ago 2002...the two drummer setup for the Melvins is a BEAST and they were both fire on this night...Buzzo was outer space and interdimensional...it was the all-seeing eyes on his robe I tell you...and Mike Patton, what can I say about this genius? As well as Jesus Lizard guitarist Duane Denison? Tomahawk kept Austin weird for us on a Monday and that doesn't suck!
