The full journey of the Yishama crew and the musicians who got first hands on these magical scale. The F2 low Pygmy Pantam (Handpan) has been our most demanded scale to date but also the most difficult one to build. Today we are finally ready to offer this amazingly deep resonating instrument to the public. Our new 2020 finish of the instrument defines the crystal clear sound, while maintaining the low deep vibrations of the F2 ding. The bottom shell is adjusted with a wooden ring connected to a cylinder to tune the cavity (helmholtz) to F1, boosting the sound of the F2 ding even stronger and deeper. The Pygmy scale: Derived from a special group of tribes in Africa, The Pygmy is such a playful yet earthy scale, so fun to explore and let your hands jump around between the notes as if they were raindrops. It is very intuitive and could ground and uplift you at the same time, giving you safety yet encouraging you to grow.
