Negeri Lima is a village in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province, Indonesia.[1] Negeri Lima traditionally has the Hena Lima tribe. As its name suggests, this village was formed from the combined population of five hena (hillside villages), which united when the community descended to the coast to the present-day location of the village. These five hena include Nau Binau, Elisiahu, Helu, Lale, and Elatua. In the past, Negeri Lima was the sole member of one of the uli within the Tanah Hitu Kingdom, namely Uli Nau Hena Helu. This uli name is still sometimes used in traditional ceremonies to refer to Negeri Lima and its customary institutions. Boundaries Negeri Lima has the following boundaries: To the north, it borders Piru Bay. To the east, it borders Negeri Seith. To the west, it borders Negeri Ureng. To the south, it borders Negeri Hatu. Social Relations Negeri Lima is closely tied to Hatu[4] and Allang. Meanwhile, the pela relationship is tied to Negeri Ameth. Negeri Lima and Kaitetu are considered sister states to Negeri Seith. The Kings of Negeri Lima and Kaitetu each witnessed the inauguration of the King of Seith (Upu Latu Uliala Leisiwa).[5][6]
