The UBDS-1, 480-watt power, manufactured in January 1989, cost 160 rubles (previously). A small, Soviet-made household woodworking machine. In this video, I show its factory design, as well as my modifications that expand its functionality. Generally, I'm a proponent of using separate tools for specific types of work. I believe there's nothing good about the versatility of machines, and it's only acceptable as a last resort. That's precisely why I've been modifying this machine. For a long time, I had no opportunity to do any amateur woodworking. Only two years ago did I finally set up a workshop, albeit a temporary one. I started making products, but I lacked the tools for various operations. I couldn't afford to buy ready-made ones, and making homemade tools and machines takes time. So, I had to modify the existing machine as needed, as I needed to perform various types of woodworking. I made a side stop for planing the edges of a workpiece at a right angle. I made a removable auxiliary table for making cuts to a specified depth; it's simple but quite functional. I installed a sanding disc and made a support platform for it with a movable top. I made an additional attachment for rip sawing; it's also simple but quite functional. I show all of this in this video, along with the details of the attachments and how I made them.
