What Went Wrong In Mingo Junction Ohio?
Mingo Junction is looking...pretty bad. Located in the Rust Belt, it has certainly suffered from steel plant closings, manufacturers leaving town, and job losses. To make matters worse it's prone to rockslides in many key areas. Poverty level is 27%, and with a declining population of around 3,200 people, that's not good. Amenities are few, and there's simply not much to do. Many homes are abandoned, as are businesses. Takes a strong and resilient person to live here, and there are some.
