July 12, 2026: Fish Fertilizer with Baxter, lower some graft unions, make a Lavender Wreath!
Today in the Rose Garden, we check on how everybody’s doing to start with. Then I realize that some of the roses that I moved around last week were planted with their graft union too high so I had to dig down underneath those roses to situate them deeper into the ground. Everybody got full strength fish fertilizer much to Baxter's delight. The Zepherine's seem to be the powdery mildew girls and some of the roses nearby are starting to show PM too so I brought out the sulfur spray this week. Also, in non Rose happenings, I had a lot of lavender cuttings from when I did a midseason chop so I decided to do a tutorial on how to make a lavender wreath!
