This story, shaped around the memories, dreams, and surprises of the family elders, shows just how deeply emotional the desire to travel abroad can be. The journey to Europe, initiated by the elderly aunt's insistent request, unfolds amidst events that defy everyone's expectations. From passport procedures and flat tires to midnight visits and a lost car, numerous setbacks occur. The biggest surprise comes from the safe deposit box the aunt had placed in a Hamburg bank years ago; however, the fact that the currency is invalid causes great disappointment. Throughout the journey, the aunt's health problems worsen, and sadly, she collapses and dies at the Yugoslav border. The family's panicked and grieving decisions become even more complicated when her body is stolen from the motel. Escape from the border, fear of the police, and telegram traffic create immense tension. However, two weeks later, the aunt's reappearance at the door changes everything completely; it turns out she fainted from shock but later recovered and received treatment at the hospital. After completing the consular procedures, she managed to return to Turkey on her own. This story tells, in a bittersweet way, how nothing goes as planned, but how family bonds endure despite all odds.
