Chordplay - The Chords Of Slayer
Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of Slayer. I've had a number of requests to feature some of Slayer's dark and moody chord-based riffs and progression, and while this lesson takes a look at a number of classic Slayer anthems, we're also talking about locating/using dissonant intervals, intervallic classification/structure, and how you can go about tapping into some of these sounds in your music. The chord-based examples in this lesson revolve around a number of sinister-sounding tracks in Slayer's back catalog, including famous songs such as 'Seasons In The Abyss,' 'South Of Heaven,' and more, but we're also hitting some lesser-known fan favorites, such as 'Live Undead,' 'Blood Red,' '213,' 'Spill The Blood,' and much more! This is one of the longer lessons that I've put together on this channel, but since this is the first time we've looked at Slayer and we're also diving deeper into understanding and using dissonant intervals - there's a lot hiding in this lesson. Give this episode a view, leave some comments/feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night Lessons - THANK YOU!
