Muharram is observed at Budgam in Kashmir, India, while Namaz banners are put up on road sides. Wearing phirans, the Shia Muslim men drink tea in glass tumblers. Kashmiri breads are handed out to the crowd between bannisters of a railing. Men in dark phirans walk off down the street. Women and children walk in with their faces not in burkha. Food is stored in large handis. Kids drink a white milky beverage from large jugs.
