Freddie Mercury's Death Story

On November 24th, 1991, Freddie Mercury died in his home in London. In this video, we'll answer the question of how did Freddie Mercury die. Freddie Mercury's real name was Farrokh Bulsara. He was born on an island of Zanzibar in 1946. Freddie mercury was 45 years old when he died. A musical prodigy, who could play anything and sing anything, Farrokh Bulsara (Freddie Mercury's real name) was in the spotlight from early childhood… but not for his musical talents. Freddie Mercury was born with a genetic dental condition that left him with four extra teeth. He was teased by his peers and was shy and quiet. Except for when he was performing on stage. In 1964, at the age of 17 years old, Freddie Mercury and his family moved to London. And for a 17 year-old Freddie, it was a headfirst dive into “the swinging sixties”. Freddie was known for throwing the most outrageous, wild and lavish parties in the entire industry. In 1970, a decade after The Beatles, Freddie Mercury formed Queen. For over 20 years, Freddie Mercury, Brian Many, John Deacon and Roger Taylor were the powerhouse of British rock… until late 1991, when Freddie died of AIDS. Freddie contracted HIV in 1981 or 1982, and it was not until 1987, when he learnt about his diagnosis. But it was already too late. Why did Freddie Mercury die? Here's the answer — HIV had been slowly destroying Freddie’s white blood cells for years. Those white blood cells act as the human body’s shield against diseases. The fewer of them were remaining in his blood, the weaker his immune system was becoming. Eventually, Freddie Mercury’s immune system collapsed leaving him completely unprotected from deadly diseases. This is when his HIV turned into the final stage - AIDS. And since that moment, his death was just a matter of time, as there was no effective treatment up until 1996. One day before his death, Freddie Mercury issued a statement to the press and public confirming that he indeed had AIDS. This brought an enormous amount of attention to the disease. He raised AIDS and HIV awareness in an era when much of the discussion was taboo, yet the epidemic was just around the corner. ________________________________________ Need an animated video for yourself or your business? https://www.how-it-was.com Follow us on Instagram:   / howitwasofficial   Follow us on Facebook:   / howitwasofficial   ________________________________________ Contents of This Video: 00:00 - Freddie Mercury and Jim Hutton are talking about Freddie’s illness 00:29 - Freddie Mercury’s death date and age at death announced 00:51 - Freddie Mercury’s childhood and real name 01:10 - Little Freddie shows his musical talent 01:20 - Freddie Mercury is teased by his peers for his teeth 01:38 - Freddie’s teeth story 01:50 - Farrokh Bulsara becomes Freddie Mercury 02:05 - Freddie Mercury moves to London (1964) 02:21 - Freddie dives into the swinging sixties 02:47 - Freddie Mercury forms Queen 03:27 - How did Freddie contract HIV and AIDS? 03:35 - Freddie Mercury and his cats 03:42 - Freddie Mercury goes partying 04:10 - When did Freddie contract HIV and AIDS? 04:27 - Freddie’s HIV illness progresses to AIDS 04:53 - Freddie Mercury tells Queen bandmates about AIDs 05:10 - Last three years of life and last albums 05:22 - Freddie Mercury, Mary Austin, Jim Hutton and cats 05:34 - Freddie Mercury announces he’s got AIDs to the public 05:54 - Outro
