This Ares model aircraft comes in two powertrain configurations: 6S and 8S. If you're looking to fly a crane, the 8S is the obvious choice; that's my pick. This aircraft arrives factory-finished with exceptional finish. Assembly requires only screwing in the tail and wings, a task that takes about 10 minutes. However, commissioning is a bit complex, requiring 13 channels to control the rudders, thrust vectoring, and flight control modes. Multiple mixing settings are also possible, and commissioning takes about 30 minutes. The aircraft boasts an exquisite paint job throughout, available in two paint schemes: red and yellow. The paint is smooth and even, with virtually no visible graininess from foam. It also features four wing blades to increase the aircraft's lateral surface area, three CNC-machined metal landing gear with extended travel and shock absorption, and numerous hard-wearing plastic components. As a stunt sports aircraft, the Ares is capable of graceful, standard aerobatic maneuvers without vectoring, easily and efficiently executing rolls, sideways, and somersaults. With vectoring engaged, the aircraft reveals a completely different style, with dazzling leaf-swinging maneuvers and various deep stall spirals. Assisted by the dual gyros, it can effortlessly execute crane maneuvers. Compared to hovering with propeller-driven 3D aircraft, the Ares is even more stable and simple. However, it's important to note that its residual thrust is limited, so be careful not to lose altitude and land when recovering from a hover.
