The Peugeot 3008 was still a family van in its first generation and became a fashionable SUV in 2016. Now the French are entering the race for buyers with the third generation. The new model has a noticeably more confident design and offers a state-of-the-art and uncluttered interior. Under the hood, customers can now choose the level of electrification they want. The mid-size SUV starts as a 48V mild hybrid (as tested here), can then be upgraded to a plug-in hybrid, or even be fully electric as the Peugeot E-3008. I've taken a look at the base model for you, with the 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine and mild hybrid drivetrain. I've already driven this engine in the Opel Corsa and was very impressed. But in the new Peugeot 3008, the developers apparently haven't quite implemented the fine-tuning...
