La Unidad Popular y la crisis que llevó al 11 de sep. 1973- (TVN, 2003)

In 1995, TVN produced this report, which exposed the precarious state of Chilean democracy at the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s. Marxist elements and the revolutionary zeal of the governments generated an unprecedented collapse that led to social conflict bordering on civil war, shortages, and polarization. The video includes testimonies from eyewitnesses to the events, who share their perspectives and laments regarding what happened during the difficult years of the 1960s and 70s in Chile; among them are Gladys Marín, Hermógenes Pérez de Arce, Carlos Altamirano, and Sergio Romero.
