Police are now intensifying witness interviews to uncover the sequence of events leading up to the victim's death. To date, Siak Police investigators have questioned at least five witnesses. They include a security guard, a driver, the hospital employee who first discovered the victim's body, Dr. Mayang's fellow PPDS Anesthesia student, and Dr. Benny, a senior anesthesiologist and the victim's mentor during his time at Tengku Rafian Regional Hospital. According to the Head of the Siak Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Raja Kosmos P, witness statements are still being examined to establish a complete chronology of events leading up to the victim's death. The police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that developments in the case will be announced after the examination is completed. In addition to questioning witnesses, police are also awaiting the results of forensic laboratory tests to determine the cause of Dr. Alex's death. Although the autopsy has been completed, forensic experts have not yet been able to determine the cause of death because further testing of several samples is still needed in the laboratory.
