Trying a real beautyblender sponge for the first time: is it worth $20?

Hi, it's Ky! Today we’re going to be doing my makeup using the original Beautyblender sponge for the first time! Despite the Beautyblender being around for years and being such an iconic product, when a bunch of alternatives sprouted up shortly after it became more commercial, it made it difficult for me to justify the $20 price point, especially as a college student! Even once I started my “big girl” jobs and had more disposable income, I was never drawn to paying that much for a sponge. I’ve been seeing them stocked in more discount retailers recently, and since I was in the market for a new makeup sponge after deciding I didn’t want to repurchase the e.l.f. Cosmetics one, I decided to buy one of the discounted kits I saw at TJ Maxx, and we’re testing it out on camera by doing a nearly full face of makeup with it!
