24 HOUR CHARITY STREAM | If Cancer Got Round 2 Then So Do I.

A few years ago, together we completed a 24-hour charity livestream and raised £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was one of the toughest and most memorable I things I’ve ever done. At the time, the stream was a celebration. After a 10-year battle with cancer, my mum had beaten it, and I wanted to raise money for the charity that supports so many people and families through their own journeys. Looking back, the stream quality wasn’t exactly award-winning! But a lot has changed since then. Better equipment, better streams and a lot more experience mean this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever. Sadly, cancer returned. My mum fought it once again for another few years, making the absolute most of every moment she had. As a family, we made memories we’ll always treasure, but in the end, cancer won that battle. This time, the stream is for her. If cancer got a second round, then so do I. For 24 hours, I’ll be taking on gaming challenges with friends, pushing through the sleep deprivation, and hopefully providing plenty of laughs all while raising as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Macmillan continue providing practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer and the people who love them.
