■久石　譲：揺れ動く不安と夢の球体　２台のチェロのための 演奏：古川展生（vlc）、富岡廉太郎（vlc） 演奏所要時間：約9分 2022年12月9日、東京文化会館　小ホール 四人組とその仲間たち・その28　現代室内楽の夕べ（主催：全音楽譜出版社） 原曲は2012年、Hakujuギターフェスタ委嘱作品として作曲した。ギターの開放弦を使ったリズミックな楽曲に仕上がり、2014年には僕が企画する現代の音楽シリーズMusic Future Vol. 1においてマリンバ２台のために Re-Composeした。 そして2022年知り合いの西村朗氏よりこの由緒ある会への作曲の機会をいただき2台のチェロの曲を書こうと張り切っていたのだが、パンデミックのために延期されてきた海外のコンサートが再開し、チェコ・フランスツアー、北アメリカツアー、ニューヨークのRadio City Music Hall（6000人×５日間）などを行なっていくうちにコロナに感染。かなりの作曲依頼を抱えていたが全てに遅延が生じて作曲が間に合わなくなった。この会への参加も断念せざるを得ないと考えたが、特にヨーロッパで人気の若手グループ”2 Cellos”の演奏を聞いて本楽曲を再びRe-Composeするアイデアが浮かんだ。しかし時間がなかったこと、新たなアイデアがいることなど考慮し、最も信頼する作曲家長生淳氏に編曲を依頼した。チェロの開放弦を利用することなど打合せした上で彼に全て任せた。そして仕上がった楽曲は別の楽曲に生まれ変わり、躍動感あふれるミニマルの反復と複雑な変拍子を用いた原曲の構成はさらに立体的に、そして人間的になったと僕は考えている。 曲名は、アメリカの詩人ラッセル・エドソン(1935-2014)が生命の宿る瞬間を表現した一節による。（久石 譲） 映像・音響・配信：YouClassics 協力：株式会社ぶらあぼホールディングス ■Joe Hisaishi: Shaking Anxiety and Dreamy Globe for Two Violoncellos Performed by Nobuo Furukawa（vlc）, Rentaro Tomioka（vlc） Duration: ca. 9 minutes 9th December 2022 at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Receital Hall (Tokyo) Groupe des Quatre et ses ami(e)s: 28ème cycle (Produced by Zen-On Music Co., Ltd.) The original version of this piece was composed in 2012 in response to a commission from the Hakuju Guitar Festival. It was a rhythmical piece making use of the guitar’s open strings, and I recomposed it in 2014 to create a version for two marimbas that was performed in 2014 at Music Future Vol. 1, the music festival that I personally direct. Akira Nishimura invited me to compose a piece for performance at the prestigious Groupe des Quatre concert to be held in 2022, and I became really excited about writing a piece for two cellos. This was the time when overseas concerts that had until then been postponed due to the Covid pandemic got under way again. I embarked on tours of Czechia, France and North America, with concerts over five days at the 6,000-seat Radio City Music Hall in New York, and eventually ended up catching Covid myself. I had to postpone all the many commissions I’d received and missed the deadlines. I thought I would have to abandon any thought of taking part in today’s concert, but I came up with the idea of once again recomposing the present piece in a version for two cellos after hearing a performance by the young cello duo Two Cellos, who have become very popular especially in Europe. But lack of time and the need for new ideas made me decide to entrust Jun Nagao, a composer for whom I have the deepest respect, with making an arrangement of the earlier piece. After discussing matters such as the use of the cello’s open strings with him I left it all in his hands, with the result that what emerged took on the guise of a different piece. The highly dynamic minimalist use of repetition and use of complex irregular metre that feature in the original piece have given the work, so it seems to me, a more three-dimensional and human quality. The title is taken from a poem expressing the moment when life comes into being by the American poet Russell Edson (1935-2014).
