While riding the new Tricity 155 (8BK-SGA9J), I discussed the optimal RPM range and riding techniques for achieving the best fuel economy. Generally, engines tend to have the highest combustion efficiency around 10-20% before the RPM range where maximum torque is generated. I feel that this principle aligns quite well with the actual fuel economy of the Tricity 155. Also, because this vehicle uses a CVT, I have the impression that maintaining a constant RPM with gentle throttle control tends to improve fuel efficiency. This time, I explored "how to ride to improve fuel economy" by combining the specifications, engine logic, and my daily riding experience. The average fuel economy at the time of filming was approximately 46 km/L.
