There are several new features, perhaps the most notable being the new electronics; a new, improved high-excursion driver; a higher frequency response (38Hz-150Hz); power output (50WRMS); connectivity (wireless); and the USB-C charging port. The sound quality seems to have improved with deeper bass notes and better balance but at the same time a more precise and controlled sound, at least this is what I thought at first glance, I must immediately point out some negative aspects that I have found, connection between Minirig and Sub is not always impeccable, even putting a hand over the sub sometimes interrupts the connection for a few moments, I cannot move the Sub far away from the Minirig4 (in some cases it seems to be solved by restarting everything) and it happened to me several times that when I turned on the Sub went into pairing as usual but did not connect instantly to the Minirig 4 and therefore I had to repeat the TWS pairing procedure, (it could be a problem with the Minirig, I will try to do a reset and see if it solves it) unfortunately a very unnerving thing is the APP, once the Minirig and the Sub are connected, I can no longer connect to the Minirig, I tried to delete data, clear cache, do a forced shutdown and other operations but the problem is not solved, it is solved only by disconnecting the sub or Turn on the Minirig and open the app, then connect the Sub and everything will work, allowing you to control the Sub, including the lights. However, if left open in the background for too long, it will disconnect and you'll have to repeat the process. This has happened to me with two Android devices now. I'll check with other devices and try resetting both speakers to see if the problem resolves. I purchased this Minirig Subwoofer 4 directly from the official Minirig website and it cost me approximately €185, plus import costs, taxes, and related duties of €63 (ordering to Italy), for a total of €248.
