On Saturday, December 14, 2024, I took the ITX-Maeum train to Gumi Station to celebrate the opening of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region's new metropolitan railway, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Line. After checking the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Line schedule at Gumi Station, I purchased a single-use token ticket from the ticket machine and boarded the Gyeongsan-bound electric train. The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Line route map shows a total of seven stops: Gumi - Sagok - Waegwan - Seodaegu - Daegu - Dongdaegu - Gyeongsan. Additional stops, including Buksam Station, are planned for the future. The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Line accepts both prepaid and postpaid transportation cards. The adult fare from Gumi Station to Gyeongsan Station was 3,000 won, and the journey time was one hour.
