Pot Grow Hosta's Spring Tips for Success

we have been growing hostas in pots for many years and at this time of year they are just starting into growth. We did a little work on these pots over the winter and cleaned some of the old compost from around the top of the pots and replaced it with fresh mushroom compost. It is now time to do a little bit of a tidy up and weed any seedlings that are coming up around the hostas. the new growth is spectacular with some beautiful architectural features as the leaves unfold. Growing hosters in pots is my favourite way of growing these plants as you're able to move them seasonally and really appreciate the variation in Leaf size and coloring as well as some spectacular flowers later in the summer start paying attention to the compost in the pot as at this time of year it's easy for them to dry out as we start getting some warmer weather it's essential that these fast-growing plants have plenty of nutrients and water if they are to put on a good display during the entire rest of the growing season
