Сервизы Тет-а-тет, дежене, эгоист - для настоящих эстетов и сибаритов. История, производители
Hello, friends! This is a new issue of your favorite porcelain encyclopedia. And today's topic is more than pleasant. It is about self-love, about love for the closest people, about a pleasant awakening, about the morning freshness that we feel in every breath of wind, about the singing of birds and the gentle sun. Mysterious? In this issue we will talk about porcelain tête-à-tête or dejeune services. Tête-à-tête style services came to us, like many exquisite things, from France. Tête-à-tête literally translates as alone. They were invented by French porcelain makers specifically for breakfast in the 18th century. The classic tête-à-tête service consists of a tray, a teapot or coffee pot, two tea sets, a creamer and a sugar bowl. But tête-à-tête or dejeune services are not necessarily for two. The general name for tea and coffee sets for breakfast is dejeune, which actually comes from the French breakfast. But the set of items in the set determines what it will be: tete-a-tete, egoist or solitaire. For example, this is a classic tete-a-tete - a set for breakfast for two. If breakfast is served for one person, it is an egoist. Moreover, an egoist can consist only of a tea or coffee set and, in fact, a teapot. The Egoist set can also be called solitaire. The name "cabaret" is also applicable to tea and coffee sets, but this is when the set includes 3 or more pairs of cups and saucers. We have sorted out the terms, now let's admire the variety of dejeune sets.
