For the low cost, it does a decent job. It's a pain in the butt to set up. It is not the fastest nor is scanning all that convenient since you can only hand-feed one document at a time. But given its small size and footprint, the fact that it can scan at all is a plus. Ink usage is ridiculously expensive and the ink does not print many pages. Apps can extend the usefulness of the printer's capabilities, such as scanning directly to email or saving scans directly to Dropbox or Google Drive.
