The supply, which had been provided by the municipality for about five years, was interrupted in December 2025. Without receiving the products, the family has become dependent on donations and raffles to maintain Davi's nutrition, as he suffers from severe malnutrition and requires exclusive feeding through a gastrostomy tube. The family has also resorted to the courts, but their request for an injunction has already been denied three times.
