LIKE US ON FACEBOOK:   / 330487550314068   Moffat Tunnel, started in 1923 and completed in 1927, is located 10 miles west of the town of Rollinsville and tunnels under the Continental Divide, connecting Rollinsville (and Denver) to the ski areas and Grand Junction on the Western Slope. At 6.2 miles long and sitting at 9,239 ft. above sea-level, it has previously held the title of the longest tunnel in the world, and is now the 2nd longest tunnel in North America behind Cascade Tunnel, located at Stevens Pass in the Cascades in Washington.
