Following strict instructions from the High Court, the District Town and Country Planning (DTCP) department in Gurugram has gone into full action mode. The court has clearly ordered that any encroachments, such as guard rooms, ramps, or other structures, on the green belt in licensed colonies, be removed immediately and an action report submitted within a week. In compliance with these orders, eight teams have been formed under the leadership of DCP Amit Mandholia. These teams are conducting simultaneous operations in different areas of the city to ensure no laxity in the action. In this connection, a team reached DLF Phase-1, where bulldozers were used to remove illegal encroachments on the green belt. JCB machines were used on the spot to demolish illegal structures like guard rooms and ramps, clearing the land. Some local residents attempted to protest during the action, but their protest was subdued by the administrative strictness. According to officials, this campaign will not be limited to one day; the action will continue in different parts of the city from April 18th to April 22nd.
