The new car boasts dynamic and attractive design features. Audi's traditional large grille has been redesigned and aligned with the vehicle's dimensions. The interior is both stylish and practical. Developed on Audi's new engineering foundation, called Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the model is available with diesel and gasoline engines. The Audi A5 replaces the previous A4 model, which will no longer be produced. The new car is available in both sedan and Avant (estate) body styles. In line with its expansion of its model range from 2024 onwards, Audi restructured its model naming convention to designate even numbers for electric models and odd numbers for vehicles with internal combustion engines. With the introduction of the new generation, the Audi A4, one of the best-selling models for many years, is being replaced by the Audi A5. The model, to be produced in Neckarsulm, is offered in four new variants: The sedan and Avant models share the same dimensions at 4,829 mm long, firmly positioning them in the upper mid-size segment. Compared to the A4, the new models have increased in length by 67 mm. The long wheelbase of 2,892 mm and short overhangs reflect premium proportions. This contributes to ride quality over long distances and a spacious interior. The Matrix LED headlights and 10.9-inch front passenger display, frequently preferred by Audi customers, are included as standard in the Technology Package Plus, while the panoramic glass roof with segment-separable transparency, which covers almost the entire passenger compartment, is standard in all trim levels. Optional extras allow the vehicle to be customized to individual preferences. These extras include a variety of options, including the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System with 3D sound and headrest speakers, electric steering column adjustment, and garage door release. Special equipment, available in packages built upon each other, is also available as an option. Engine The new MHEV plus technology features engines equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and a lithium iron phosphate battery. The MHEV plus system takes the performance and efficiency of the new Audi A5 TDI and Audi S5 models to a new level. These systems offer dynamic driving with additional electric power (up to 18 kW/24 hp) on country roads, while also enabling fully electric driving during stop-and-go in urban traffic. During deceleration, the drive generator returns energy to the battery with up to 25 kW of regenerative braking. The 2.0-liter diesel A5 40TDI Quattro model, available in Turkey, produces 204 horsepower. The 2.0-liter gasoline-powered S5 Avant TFSI Quattro delivers 367 horsepower. This model, with 550 Nm of torque, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
