I Thought NOBODY CARED About this Place...Then She STOPPED ME

It’s been two years since I first cleaned up this abandoned fire station with my assistants; that time, it took us four days to finish the job. I was also here in the winter to trim the hedge so it wouldn’t grow out of control, and now I’m back again to trim the hedge once more, pull weeds, and mow the lawn. This time, the hedge has taken on a nice shape and density and no longer looks like a forest, so trimming it was easy; only on the back side did I have to make my way through blackberry bushes. Also, in another corner, many small trees and shrubs had sprouted, which I cut back to grass level, and I removed the ivy from the building’s wall. then, using a small stepladder, I trimmed the top of the hedge and began cleaning up, collecting everything into four green bags; even though beech leaves take up a lot of space, they pack down well and aren’t very heavy. Then, using a trimmer, I began removing weeds. At that moment, an elderly woman with a dog approached me; she was very happy and at the same time surprised that work was being done here again, since the bushes had grown all along the sidewalk and were making it difficult to walk, After that, I blew everything clean with a backpack-mounted blower and rolled out the “weed eater,” which I’d brought with me in advance since I expected there to be a lot of weeds on the site again and I didn’t really want to clear everything with a shovel like last time, plus, it handled the job very well. Then I cut down the newly sprouted trees by the building’s gate and moved them to the small grove nearby the same spot where the “weed eater” couldn’t handle them I cleared everything with the trimmer, then blew the clippings onto the overgrown lawn, since I was about to start the final part: mowing the tall grass with my new Cub Cadrt XZ6 lawn mower, which I’d purchased very recently for my work and decided to test out on tall grass while I was at it. I opened the discharge chute in advance so the grass would come out the side while mowing, since I wasn’t sure the mower would have enough power, but it still managed to handle the task albeit with a little difficulty. It was hard to mow in some spots because there were molehills everywhere, so the mower would occasionally stall when I ran over another mound, but everything went well in the end. For a cleaner cut, I went over the area several times, It was getting late, so I had to finish up, but I did everything I’d planned, except for a few bushes on the lawn that I wanted to trim a bit but even that job took me 12 hours.
