PFM Restoration - full tutorial
This restoration started with one pen, but it had to finish with another. Part of the game of restoring old pens - and especially those that get more technical on the inside, is finding out that sometimes things are worse than they seem. So, this was a lesson in thinking something wasn't too much of a big deal, finding that it was worse than you thought, and then having to pivot. Luckily I had another PFM lying around. Overall, I was happy how this pen turned out. The plastics of the Sheaffer's turn out quite well with a good aggressive polish. Aside from the cap, this pen does not look its age. The inlaid nib, which I found out was introduced on this particular pen, is such a pleasure to write with.
