Lightweight Covered Wagon Camper

Tal Oliver of Clearwater Wagon Company set out to build a covered wagon with all the fixings of a motor home that could be pulled by his two saddle horses on a wagon train. An innovative builder by trade, Tal needed to take a conventional sheepherder's design but reduce its weight by more than half. At Steve Haste's open house last October, Tal showed us some of the more interesting aspects of his wagon, as well as the custom-built trailer he uses to haul it.
