30.03.2021 NOTE: The recent Firmware update appears to have altered the way the Spike Prime Brick process information. NOTE: This is the updated video that corrects an error in the original! Help and Support: These are the most common problems encountered by students attempting to build and program their own Bike Prime model - Problem: Bike wheel moving backwards instead of forwards. Common Cause: Mainly because students reversed the motors when building OR used the wrong motor order in the ’set movement motors’ block. Problem: Bike falls over almost immediately. Common Cause 1: front wheel not built aligning with the 0 degree position on motor. Common Cause 2: incorrectly inputting the math parameters in the ’set result’ block. Using ‘+’ instead of ‘*’, wrong brackets etc. Common Cause 3: incorrectly setting gain values, or missing gain values blocks. Problem: Bike doesn’t move Common Cause: incorrect symbol for ‘repeat until bike falls’ block parameter. Using ‘less than‘ instead of ‘greater than’ etc Problem: Bike travels a short distance before falling Common Cause 1: floor is too smooth and slippery. Common Cause 2: insufficient battery Check the comments for more feedback and information!
