How to Make KIMONO Haneri Collars 🌸 DIY No-Sew Method for Beginners

I made colorful and cute DIY no-sew han-eri (kimono collar covers) using leftover quilting cotton fabric. Haneri is a detachable kimono collar worn over the nagajuban to protect the kimono and add a decorative touch to your kimono coordination. It’s also a great way to express your personal style, whether with bold prints, soft florals, or simple solids. Using scrap fabric and safety pins, I made five super cute kimono collars / haneri in one afternoon! This is a very beginner-friendly project. No sewing machine required! You just need some fabric and safety pins! Before we jump into making, I’ll take you on a short countryside visit where I picked up these fabrics.
