The lungs are potentially affected in all patients with systemic scleroderma. Individuals living with systemic scleroderma need to know how they can be proactive in helping the doctors identify any lung involvement as early as possible. There have been many exciting advances in the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
