The Hitchhiker - 1940s with original sound!

Here a poor girl is happily motoring along when tragedy strikes and she is stranded. Needing a ride, what can she do to get the attention of passing motorists? Having the original audio for this film really makes it, the commentary is great. This was released on 8mm film video, with an accompanying record for the sound. A projectionist would need to sync the film projector and the record player manually. This process was made easier by the record having a tone at the beginning and a voice declaring "Start Projector Now". The flip side of the record has the audio for '172 Beachcombing Belle'. I converted the 8mm film and the record separately to digital, and then used VLC to convert, and iMovie to sync them up. I made some slight edits to the audio track to have it sync better with the video. It's not great, but it's better than the original.
