Boat Engine Beeping Alarm - Diagnose and Replace Temperature Sensor
This video describes how to diagnose and replace an engine temperature sensor on a Volvo Penta 4.3 GL engine. If your boat engine alarm is beeping, you might find this helpful. Our boat is a 2002 Four Winns Horizon 180 and the engine alarm was beeping, even though the gauges for both oil pressure and engine temperature were reading normal levels. It turned out that one of the engine alarm temperature sensors had failed. The replacement was very easy once I was able to confirm which sensor was the problem, and obtain a replacement part.
