I tried to absorb as much of the original bass line as possible, transcribing as much of the details of interpretation, timbre, and language as I could hear. See the level of detail and how many creative variations he made throughout the song. Every idea that repeats comes with a little change, or changes of octave or has a glissando and of nothing comes a long note.
