LA REMOLACHA TAMBIÉN SUFRE LA ADVERSA CLIMATOLOGÍA - Campo Salmantino, 6 de julio de 2026
Despite a good sowing season, spring storms and the May heat have seriously affected certain sugar beet plots. Our protagonist today, Tomás Martín, has one plot whose production he can salvage, another only partially, and a third he will have to uproot entirely. All the money spent on seeds, irrigation, diesel... and all his work down the drain. It could be affected by Rhizoctonia, but he will have to prove this since he is a beneficiary of the Rural Development Program (RDP).
